Waiting captures my minds-eye view of a girl I saw while I was rushing to catch the Metro. She was sitting on a cabinet of some sort reading, while the chaos of buses, people, and noise swirled around her. The painting isn’t that great, I went for the abstract of the greats but instead achieved Timmy from 3rd Grade. I attempted to capture that chaos in the spattered paint, which marks a period of using spatter as a technique.
2015. Abstract acrylic on canvas. 11 x 14.
