Death on Demeter

The Demeter was a very unlucky ship. Decades before it would become famous as the transport of a more famous vampire, it was found adrift in the Black Sea, it’s crew ripped asunder by some inhumanly strong being. Records recovered in the port of Varna showed that the ship onboarded several crates of antique furnitureContinue reading “Death on Demeter”

The Shipwreck

So after the drunkstorm of yesterday, I figured I’d plant today’s flag on a rocky beach somewhere, where the sole survivor of some gale-battered ship is discovered washed ashore by a passing good Samaritan. Artistically, it’s about light, the subtle colors extant in every vignette permeating our lives.

Clever Girl

If I’ve used this title before, after all, there are over 300 of these, a little under 699 away from Van Gogh’s prolific-ness, then I’ll call it something like “Clever Girl, the series.” “But what does it all mean, Basil?,” as Austin Powers says. It’s a continuation of the warrior theme from yesterday. Missed thatContinue reading “Clever Girl”

09:23 – The Rise of Social Media

It was inspired initially by the photo of the first victim of #Vecna in #strangerthings, but then expanded to take on #social #media. I hate explaining this stuff. I hope it resonates on it’s own, because it’s pretentious otherwise. There’s no process, just dumping my brain into 1’s and 0’s.

Nature Finds a Way

She’ll survive us all. She’s the strongest woman we know, she’s nature. Climate change? She’s survived it. High CO2? Easy. Humans, not so much. But she just may have mercy on us when we’ve wiped ourselves off the face of the planet. Here? A post-human photoshoot. We took her trees, her resources, her valuables, butContinue reading “Nature Finds a Way”

The Decision

This started out as a Captain Kirk in the arms of an Orion woman thing-a-ma-jiggy, then I got bored, because I like the stronger women, so, similar to another I did, here’s a digital painting a warrior about to lead her people into battle. No new boundaries broken here, I just needed to keep theContinue reading “The Decision”

Stages

A triptych as my last digital artwork. I’ve run out of ideas and must find something else. The three paintings explore nothing, and maybe have some intrinsic meaning, but in my current state, I got nothing. I think the most fun part was exploring camera techniques, playing with blades, lens thickness and f/stop. Anywho, withoutContinue reading “Stages”
