I was going to post it tomorrow at the ‘perfect Friday posting time to maximize engagement’ but I figure maybe someone out there needs this tonight. It’s an allegory to the the time we live in, where #bullying and #cancelculture rule politics, the news, and social media. Maybe you’re getting #bullied – the message I’m try to convey with this is, you’re #perfect – they may fit a standard that’s societally idolized, but they’re #ugly inside, where it counts. There was a post on #social #media about #nudity #beauty #sex etc., being the only way to boost #art #exposure numbers (likes) – I decided to test the theory. In this #digitalpainting an #instaselfie goes horribly wrong as a #sexkitten shows off her #kitty to the camera. ‘A Brother Lies Dying’ – #war is all #fun and #games until someone gets run-through. #warriors know this all too well, the rest of society? Politicians? Not so much. I put the original #digital #painting through a #filter since some don’t think digital qualifies as #art – maybe I’ll post the original next. Anywho, that’s the #artwork I cranked out, now to do something #crafty with the rest of the weekend.

There’s a group of people that think #digitalart isn’t real #art so I made it look like a canvas just to tick them off.

An #environmental piece about the damage humanity has done to #nature – here we find #sasquatch aka #bigfoot at the end of the road, his once beautiful #landscape turned to ash and sewage. He’s skinnier now, humans have driven off all his resources, and his hair is falling out due to the #pollution in his drinking #water – the #mystery is gone, just like he soon will be. #art #digital #painting #artwork #socialcommentary

Chalmecacihuilt had spent days hunting the #beast – her #obsidian #spear ever at the ready. But she was tired, as must her prey, she reasoned. She decided to build a fire and camp for the night by a giant dead #tree – but the beast was not finished with her by a long shot. I’m thinking I may have to dial-back on my #art – I’ve been obsessing over metrics / exposure / blah blah. I’m thinking maybe putting out one a day makes people think it’s easy to go from concept (random thought in my head) to reality, which, in my mind, is suppressing engagement metrics (e.g. likes/shares). It’s not a healthy way to be arting.

In reality each one takes an average of 5 hours without the 3-4 hours of rendering time (old rig, only 4 cores). Add 2-3 more hours if the lighting is wonky or the painting is too dark – that’s the hardest part.

I started #creating one a day because I like to do it, and I figured that our hours on this mortal coil are limited, so why play games, or watch TV, when the time can be better spent? Anyway, yeah. Being a content provider is hard, so when I do miss a day, I’d like to thank those that understand in advance and thanks for being awesome.

I was going to post this tomorrow but I’m going to be busy with the work that feeds the kids, and my #artwork earlier today was a #bomb so I decided to #create another. This one is more traditional #fantasy – a #woman exploring her #castle grounds, including #ancient #columns of a past civilization. I’m working more with the ISO, exposure, etc., in an attempt to not rely on my phone to up the visibility of the art. Maybe it will be better in the long run. Also trying to take visual composition more seriously. #art #digital #render #drawing blah-blah.

First #digitalart of the #newyear – I call it #alien #druid – inspired by my #weird mind and @salmahayek in the movie ‘From Dusk Til Dawn’ (but without the snake). This morphed from just another #scifi #digitalpainting while listening to #afterdark by @titoandtarantula on repeat (I do that). Anyway, that’s the genesis, there’s no deep meaning beyond alien worlds having #dancing #environmentalist #activists too, right? Happy NY! #artist #pixel #painting
