What Happens Among Fey

So June is almost done. I’m sad and maybe a little depressed. June’s the best month, well, best month outside of Fall for Queer folk (as in LGBTQIA+), because nothing compares to Halloween season for us Q’s. Once July rolls in, there will be no more celebration of the qualities that make us human, e.g., … Read more

09:23 – The Rise of Social Media

It was inspired initially by the photo of the first victim of #Vecna in #strangerthings, but then expanded to take on #social #media. I hate explaining this stuff. I hope it resonates on it’s own, because it’s pretentious otherwise. There’s no process, just dumping my brain into 1’s and 0’s.

Nature Finds a Way

She’ll survive us all. She’s the strongest woman we know, she’s nature. Climate change? She’s survived it. High CO2? Easy. Humans, not so much. But she just may have mercy on us when we’ve wiped ourselves off the face of the planet. Here? A post-human photoshoot. We took her trees, her resources, her valuables, but … Read more

Nature – Victim

So I throw all these words out to explain my #art but really, it comes down to mood as the #artwork progresses. This was first focused on #hair – I am not apologetic for objectifying luscious locks – then it moved into the #goth #vampire realm ( #notsorry ) and then setting back into #nature (which I love) – I’ll let you figure out how vampires are #victims and apply that to the damage humans are doing to our madre de #nature. I really shouldn’t even bother with trying to explain it, but for my three fans I will sacrifice :). I mean, it’s not like an influencer like Waagen is going to come along in 250 years and hawk my stuff to wealthy Parisians, while calling it emblematic of the American Golden Age to make a buck. But I digress. Hope you enjoy it.

Stages

A triptych as my last digital artwork. I’ve run out of ideas and must find something else. The three paintings explore nothing, and maybe have some intrinsic meaning, but in my current state, I got nothing. I think the most fun part was exploring camera techniques, playing with blades, lens thickness and f/stop. Anywho, without further ado….

Part One – Human

Part II – Angel

Part III – Goddess

Part IV – Fade to black

It’s a triptych, there is no part four 🙂

Stake Night

It was the first time using that Romanian dating app, so I thought I’d do it up and go to the nines. Everything was going well until she ordered her steak mooing. I mean, medium rare is cool and anything more is an affront to the meat. So, when I questioned “tartar?” and she plus … Read more

My Marianne is a Zombie Battlefield

‘Hold up, fellas!” I yelled. We were clearing the valley hotspot. It was dirty work. Some of the Zekes werefaster and craftier than the others, so we had to watch out when we put them down. The virus had decimated this area, everything was dead. Some of them retained memories, however basic, of their past … Read more

A Question of Limits

A legitimate comment sparked this post. I don’t know if the person was just being a social media denizen (where the goal is to tear down) or knew that I always create a scene for my art, with multiple angles worthy of expression to the lens, and decided to coax out another angle from me. … Read more
