‘The Mirror’ Every #artist does nudes, right? Well, this is technically not, she’s fully obstructed, sorry. Creatively, today was about showing up, #artistically speaking. There’s no point to the #artwork – a random thought that popped in my head – a #woman walks by a #mirror and sees another world within, a world where she is happy. Pretty cool considering the sterile environment she’s currently in, some upwardly-mobile gym on Southwest 457th (doesn’t exist). I decided not to make it a horror scene, there’s too much right now IRL. #fantasy #digital #art #modern #commentary

One simply does not walk away from a relationship with #anime – I don’t watch it, but the big-eye thing is what I key in on for the anime style, hence the title. I really wanted to create #artwork that one would have to draw their own conclusions, but the anime thing struck me as funny. Live Forever – “All the gods, they cannot sever us. If I were dead, and you still fighting for life, I’d come back from the darkness; back from the pit of Hell to fight at your side.” ~ Valeria. This #artwork is based on the movie #conan the #barbarian – it’s fan #art as the movie is easily in my top 10 eva. EVA. It’s influenced my views on love (still looking for my #Valeria – though I did find Thulsa Doom 😉 but that’s not the point. I actually spun this off a social media comment this morning for a friend who is possibly battling #coronavirus – I said, “you are Conan, the virus is Rexor, and Valeria is your attitude.” I also put the soundtrack (plus Conan the Destroyer – Riders of Taramis) on repeat while creating it, possibly really annoying my neighbors 🙂 Note, it’s not the best art, and not 100%, nor 50%, realistically portraying the movie, but like all things, art & inspiration is about showing up and putting in the time. #digitalart #digitalpainting #new #fantasy #love #life

Fey Lights – I decided to not be grim today. Inspired by Will-o-the-Wisps, but not wanting to go into #faerie territory. ‘Clerical Error’ – I know, it’s two questionable pieces of #artwork in one day, technically the other one was half yesterday, and I’m bored AF since my TV is broke, my laptop freezes on Netflix, and I can’t go anywhere. As to the title, if you’ve played #dnd / #dungeonsanddragons you’ll get it, for those that don’t, the #cleric is great at turning #undead but here, he got overwhelmed. It’s a grave (pun) mistake. On a higher level I tried to convey him questioning his God, contemplating his #mortality and somewhere hoping against hope that he will live another day. With the news that the #economy is more important than #people I thought I’d visualize what happens on a small scale when one ignores professional advice and prioritizes money. Here, a loose representation of #lady #liberty as the #american economy. “Rapunzel.” She waits in her tower, as all heroes of any worth practice #socialdistancing – The idea for this started as having her escaping the tower by chopping off her hair in pursuit of a roll of TP, but I didn’t have a TP asset available and didn’t want to spend hours creating it, so I pivoted to that other great bit of Americana – wine; and instead had her hanging out on her tower balcony, waiting out the #coronavirus #pandemic in style. #art #doodle #digitalart #digitalpainting #fantasyart #fairytale #rapunzel

The #huntress – a pandemic #doodle which has been scaled down from my vision. In #digital #art there’s limits on certain things so you have to make do. For gods sake if you have less than 12 cores, limit your #trees 🙂 This scene take place right after the huntress has released a shot. I had to think back to #archery class to visualize what her hand would look like. There are less trees but it worked out because part of what attracts me to #Art is what is going on in the sky. “Queen of Heaven”, a #doodle (expect to see her again, I went on a tangent that struck a chord) highlighting #Ishtar of the #sumerian #mythos also possibly #lilith who is arguably the first empowered #female of the Bible (bad rap included) found here sitting on a rock, hanging out, obeying #socialdistancing protocols, not like those people on the beach or in the tidal basin, making it so all of us have to stay home longer…. but I digress.
