What if angels don’t give a damn about us? What if we’re trying to be good for a god for whom we are no better than ants? What if we’re condemned to our fate by our imperfect nature? What if this is god’s greatest irony, a creation followed by casting off, like an artist doingContinue reading “The Wrong Side of Heaven”

The Sensible Thing
I’m not sure if I like this one. It’s not as realistic as my usual fare. Too much bloom making her look cartoony? Is it Pride or is it prejudice on my part? So, I guess I will just throw it on the pile & move on. Alternate title was “An Escape from Regency.”
Morticia
Turning a useless day into something better, with art. There will always be differing opinions on who plays the best Morticia. My thought is, all of them. Since she was in Zorro, I could picture Catherine Zeta Jones as the iconic character and now she gets her shot. So, first fan art?
Galadriel
If Gal Gadot were to play Galadriel. It’s in her name.
Against the Giants
Finished up this one today. In some fantasy world, maybe ours when creativity was more cherished, a warrior battles the giant invasion. Will she survive?
Portrait of an Actress
So this was my first attempt at a real world person. I chose Eva Green because, well, Eva Green. I don’t think I hit it 100% but you can tell me if I got close.
The Shipwreck
So after the drunkstorm of yesterday, I figured I’d plant today’s flag on a rocky beach somewhere, where the sole survivor of some gale-battered ship is discovered washed ashore by a passing good Samaritan. Artistically, it’s about light, the subtle colors extant in every vignette permeating our lives.
Through Glass
Inspired by the song of the same title by Stone Sour, which may have inspired me before thinks critically, but can’t remember, so I’m going with it. Specifically, the lyrics: “I’m looking at you through the glassDon’t know how much time has passedOh God, it feels like foreverBut no one ever tells you that foreverContinue reading “Through Glass”
Crossroads
I’ll let this doodle speak for itself. It may be a repetition of an earlier theme. I did a painting on this subject back in 2015. It’s definitely original art, though.
The Visitor
This will be the last of my assassin portraits I think, but no promises. This is inspired by a certain big countries rhetoric after another big country called their bluff. Set in the future, the big country could not let the other big country’s slap in the face stand, so, when the second big countryContinue reading “The Visitor”
On Her Milk-White Neck…
Totally inspired by the lyrics of the Song Black No. 1 by Type O Negative. There’s like a graveyard in the background and it’s Autumn. I like also how the light makes it look like she has snake eyes.
