From the Deep

From the Deep – First, I assure you I am not disturbed in creating this. It’s about how life in the ocean does not want land creatures invading their space, and, how a school of Jellyfish see an out of place person, possibly in distress, and try to get her back to the surface, not knowing that surface dwellers cannot survive long in their world. It’s also about beauty in death, that natural end to our time on this rock.

Take Me in Your Arms, It’s alright.

The battlefield, you hate it, yet it’s your job to go. Souls need the guidance to the afterlife. They cry for their mothers, their God, even though if you’d ask them before coming, they were adamantly atheist, but as soon as you arrive, they plead for you to free them from their destroyed bodies. For you are death, the eternal equalizer, and you are there to show mercy for mans folly.

Beyond Death’s Door

I put this together to represent the sudden realization of one’s mortality. About the #art – so there’s the #gateway with who knows what is on the other side, a new world? Or nothing? The #tentacles represent #cancer which is the sneakiest of things that can kill you. The mysterious #woman represents #death (it’s a positive association, IMO dudes don’t have the requisite compassion to be the ferryman – and there is irony in the term). Throw in #trees and #flowers as the connection to our world, #light from beyond, et voila. #digitalart #painting #new
