Peace on Earth

A detailed painting of a black crow perched on a snowy rock in a winter forest. The background features tall evergreen trees against a colorful sky with hues of pink, purple, and blue, suggesting a sunrise or sunset. Snow blankets the ground and tree branches.

“Peace on Earth” is an evocative acrylic painting that blends the tranquility of nature with a subtle, contemplative presence. The artwork depicts a serene winter landscape at dawn, with a raven perched solemnly on a snow-covered warrior, lost in some past battle. The background features a forest of evergreen trees dusted with snow, while the sky transitions from deep blue to soft pink hues, capturing the delicate light of early morning. The scene is calm and still, yet the raven’s watchful eye adds a touch of mystery, inviting viewers to ponder the deeper significance of peace amid the solitude of winter.

The Price of Freedom

Eventually, we all have to decide what is worth fighting for. This started as your typical run-of-the-mill sun-kissed model posing on the beach scene, but quickly went dark, heavy, and introspective. There’s too many of the former, sorry. Now it’s uncomfortable history meets model on the beach. Maybe it’s impactful, maybe it does nothing, that’s … Read more

Boss Fight

When the gig is up and you’ve been discovered sneaking around the evil temple. Clever Girl

If I’ve used this title before, after all, there are over 300 of these, a little under 699 away from Van Gogh’s prolific-ness, then I’ll call it something like “Clever Girl, the series.” “But what does it all mean, Basil?,” as Austin Powers says. It’s a continuation of the warrior theme from yesterday. Missed that … Read more

The Decision

This started out as a Captain Kirk in the arms of an Orion woman thing-a-ma-jiggy, then I got bored, because I like the stronger women, so, similar to another I did, here’s a digital painting a warrior about to lead her people into battle. No new boundaries broken here, I just needed to keep the … Read more

Denouement

I really don’t have anything artsy or insightful to say. I just wanted to create something with the single source strong light, and am ambient light, which was used a lot in Dutch / Northern Renaissance paintings. She’s bloody, she could use a shower, but she’s survived.

Here’s the close-in.
