Callisto’s Secrets

The second largest #moon of #jupiter and the third largest moon in the solar system, #callisto is an ancient celestial body. She may contain at least two oceans under her surface. Tidally locked to her #jovian parent, seen in the background (an actual #nasa photograph), Callisto harbors one of the best chances for ancient life. This #artwork captures the moment in the next century that mankind discovers the secrets she harbors. #art #digitalartist #new #dailydoodle #dogs in #space

Mother of Civilization

Around 12,000 years ago, while the men were out hunting dwindling big game, a #woman noticed that seeds from wild gatherings dumped on a trash pile began to grow. She took these seeds, planted & tended them, and soon had enough food to more than meet the tribes needs. This pivotal moment for #mankind allowed us to settle down, grow in population, create a #society and do all the glitzier things that followed. Everything from the Roman Coliseum to the Voyager spacecraft, now in interstellar space, would not have been possible without this un-named woman, who, by chance, discovered #farming – #art #digitalart #digitalartist #new #sunset #wheat #history #civilization

Firefly

A colorful mixed media artwork featuring a large painted tree with square panels integrated into it. Each panel has illuminated cut-out designs, including a cluster of grapes, a leaf arrangement, and a tree. One panel includes glowing lights resembling fireflies dancing over a moss texture.

Firefly is a 36″ x 48″ 3D sculpture / painting utilizing acrylic paint, multiple canvases, mirrors, LED lighting (Solar or electrical power) tissue wrap paper, model railroad foliage (branches) and fake grass.  Evocative of a Midsummer Night, this piece draws on unconventional landscape effects to bring the composition to life. This is for sale. I’m asking $999.00. It may seem like a lot, but it allows me to eat and create art in an expensive area.
